It is instructed by the Directorate that all correspondences should be typed in bilingual (Hindi and English) to some extent.
So, please install Hindi Font (Mangal Font) in all Computers of D.O/P.O using for correspondences. Similarly Tamil Font can also be installed if required.
Procedure is furnished below:Step 1 :

Download the Google IME and install the same
(Hindi and Tamil IME given below for ready reference)
Download Hindi Setup , Download Tamil Setup
Step 2 :
For Window XP : In Control Panel - Regional and Language option - Select 'languages' tab - Select 'Install files for EastAsian languages' (it will ask for Win XP CD) - apply - ok
For Windows Vista : In Control Panel - Regional and Language option - Select 'Keyboard and languages' bar - click 'Change keyboard' - Select Hindi - check the 'Google Hindi input' - ok
Step 3 :
Open MS-word
Select the language (which is shown in the taskbar - right side bottom)
Now you can type Hindi (Transliteration)
